🎯 CONTEXT

Founded in 2008, Photosol is a french originated photovoltaic independent power producer, specialized in large-scale ground-mounted power plants, agri PV and large roof. Today, the group has a portfolio in operation and under construction of 936 MWp, consisting of some 60 plants, and a portfolio under development of 4.3 GWp. Since 2022, Photosol is a subsidiary of the RUBIS Group, a French energy company listed on Euronext Paris. Rubis is specialized in fuel retail, liquefied gas, bitumen, and renewable electricity production across Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean, operating in over 40 countries. Today, Photosol is a global group that is expanding internationally with successful experiences in Europe as well as in the USA.

As part of the Italian Development Team, under the responsibility of the Italian country manager and in constant coordination with the AgriPV team based at Photosol headquarters in Paris, the Agri-photovoltaic expert (Agri-PV expert) will be a key actor of the implementation of the Photosol Italy growth strategy in the photovoltaic business, ensuring the implementation of best-in-class projects in terms of integration of agricultural activities and ground mounted photovoltaic power plants. He/she will work closely with the development to follow up the agri PV projects.

🎯 MISSIONS

The Agri-photovoltaic expert will oversee the following tasks:

• Support in the selection of appropriate agri-photovoltaic concepts implemented in Photosol’s photovoltaic projects. In collaboration with the Development Project Manager and with the local project’s stakeholder (e.g. landowners and local agronomists), you will be responsible to analyze the current land usage and study/model the best solutions for the integration of agricultural activities and photovoltaic power plants.
• Find the best practices from the group that can be applied to the local context.
• Making sure the agricultural interests are respected into the project development phases
• Management of pilot projects (R&D) implemented in Photosol’s photovoltaic projects, coordinating the various stakeholders, monitoring the budget and collecting/analyzing the relatives’ data.
• Support in the valuation of agri-photovoltaic concepts proposed by third parties. During the acquisition phase of photovoltaic projects, being responsible for the due diligence activities on the agri-photovoltaic concept proposed by third parties, highlighting the main risks and estimating the related costs and impact for the financial model.
• In coordination with the Land Manager and the development Team, support in scouting new agri-photovoltaic opportunities, through the contact of medium/big size agricultural companies and testing their interest and availability to develop new agri-photovoltaic initiatives.
• Support the Photosol’s Engineering department as an expert on issues related to agriculture and photovoltaic technical integration, taking part of Photosol’s internal research programs.
• Scientific and regulatory watch on the agri-photovoltaic topics, joining as representative of Photosol in national and international events.

🎯Profile: 

• Academic studies and experience in agricultural science. A specialization in agri-photovoltaic research would be plus.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Good knowledge in agriculture and more particularly in plant production and experimental planning.
• Good and proven skills in project management
• Interest in the field of renewable energies
• Spirit of innovation
• Experience to work in an extended team and in an international environment
• Knowledge of IT tools: Excel, Office package, statistics tools and mapping tools *QGIS( would be a plus).
• Professional English
• Driving license B
