🎯 CONTEXT
Founded in 2008, Photosol is a french originated photovoltaic independent power producer, specialized in large-scale ground-mounted power plants, agri PV and large roof. Today, the group has a portfolio in operation and under construction of 936 MWp, consisting of some 60 plants, and a portfolio under development of 4.3 GWp. Since 2022, Photosol is a subsidiary of the RUBIS Group, a French energy company listed on Euronext Paris. Rubis is specialized in fuel retail, liquefied gas, bitumen, and renewable electricity production across Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean, operating in over 40 countries. As part of its international growth, Photosol group has ambitious projects in Bulgaria with a significant pipeline of projects on development phase to straighten the footprint in easter Europe. The construction project manager will be part of the EPC Engineering Procurement and Construction group team and will follow up all the activities from pre-construction phase until the commissioning of photovoltaic power plants including grid substation & connection lines and BESS storage facilities.
🎯 MISSIONS
Construction
- Manage the engineering, procurement and construction of photovoltaic power plants, BESS storage facilities, grid substation and connection line from preparatory works on site until the commissioning of the assets.
- Main activities include planning, contract management, internal and external stakeholder management, risk assessment, finance control, coordination of construction activities.
- Coordinate all information management between internal and external stakeholders involved in the realization of the plants to achieve the project objectives.
- Report project progress and control on a weekly basis.
- Ensure the quality of implementation of internal process and construction activities.
- Ensure that contractors respect their contractual commitments by ensuring weekly reporting, follow-ups and site visits.
- Create and ensure compliance with budgets, quality control plans, and projects schedules.
- Ensure and follow the company procedures for consulting companies and suppliers.
- Participate in the preparation and negotiation of contracts (supply and construction).
- Supervise all specific studies required with construction (archaeological, geotechnical, topographic etc…)
- Develop, analyses, and negotiate solutions for any issues raised during the construction of the production plants and ensure the follow-up of implementation and effects.
- Identify and coordinate the implementation of the technical orientations to be taken to optimize the construction costs.
- Improve project and construction monitoring methods.
- Develop a portfolio of subcontractors, contractors, suppliers, experts and evaluate them regularly.
Grid
- Follow up the projects from a grid connection point of view (grid substation and grid interconnection line) with the Bulgarian providers during the construction and commissioning phase.
- In acquisition and development phase, Evaluate potential connection possibilities and associated risks and costs.
- Lead communication with the Bulgarian System Operator ESO EAD, including taking part to technical meetings, drafting, and negotiating of electrical connection stall sharing agreements and related design activities.
- Optimize and secure the grid route by leading land agreements, identify obstacles and shortcuts, anticipate design study for authorities and special agreements for obstacles.
- Communications to System Operators, grid regulating authorities, manage grid connection agreement. Include the relevant Photosol staff for specific questions with System Operator.
- Be a Key Account Manager (KAM) towards System Operators and regulating authorities. This includes being aware of TCM communication to those entities in the Take Over process.
- Follow up the legal and technical framework regarding grid connection topics alongside with the internal and external legal specialist.
- Participate to global reflexions on grid connection with internal and external stakeholders
🎯 Profile :
- Master degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy Engineering;
- 5 years of professional experience in a similar position.
- Applicable legislation to grid connection, grid operation and grid development
- Multitasking - you are able to work in parallel on various projects and objectives while maintaining a clear prioritization strategy of critical tasks;
- Rigor, organizational skills and a pro-active approach to improve the quality and profitability of the production plants;
- Experience in stakeholder management and negotiation with contractors and consultants;
- Capacity to problem solve and propose solutions for activities under your responsibility;
- Strong sense of responsibility and enjoy teamwork.
