🎯 CONTEXT
Founded in 2008, Photosol is a french originated photovoltaic independent power producer, specialized in large-scale ground-mounted power plants, agri PV and large roof. Today, the group has a portfolio in operation and under construction of 1,1 GWp, consisting of some 60 plants, and a portfolio under development of 4.3 GWp. Since 2022, Photosol is a subsidiary of the RUBIS Group, a French energy company listed on Euronext Paris. Rubis is specialized in fuel retail, liquefied gas, bitumen, and renewable electricity production across Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean, operating in over 40 countries. Today, Photosol is a global group that is expanding internationally with successful experiences in Europe as well as in the USA.
As part of its international growth, Photosol group has established an entity in Italy to achieve ambitious and exciting solar projects goals. Within the origination team, the Land origination manager has responsibility to secure the land rights for the PV power plant projects and BESS. This includes taking care of landowner and relevant stakeholder contacts, negotiation and drafting and securing agreements.Â
🎯 MISSIONS
- Secure the land agreements to allow planning, construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of the PV farms.
- Due diligence, from land management point of view, of projects to be co-developed or acquired.
- Work closely with the environmental-GIS specialist to update the tool and maximize the effectiveness of the land origination strategy according to PV projects requirement.
- Contact landowners, preparing land lease agreement drafts, negotiating, and ensuring agreements are being signed by both parties.
- Secure a strong network in various relevant sectors (e.g. farmers associations, quarry owners association or similar relevant stakeholders) with opportunistic mindset.
- Organize and execute a proper handover of the project to the permitting team, ensuring constant cooperation for all the project life. More generally, being aware of the development and permitting steps within the origination strategy to maximize successful outcome of the projects.
- Contact road authorities (and other stakeholders interested in the project development rather than private landowners), prepare road use agreements and ensure agreements are being signed by both parties.
- Responsible for land agreements, land survey and landowner information being entered and constantly updated in the Land Management Support System.
- Develop and follow project specific Communication Plan in cooperation with project team.
- Arrange landowner meetings during all project phases to keep them informed about the project and its progress and being available for questions from landowners.
- Prior to construction, communicate contact lists and construction restrictions and special conditions according to land agreements (preferably illustrated on map) to Construction Project Managers and main contractors.
- During construction, monitor and if needed make sure that landowner interests  are considered.
- Follow up built documentation of construction areas and ensure payments are calculated accordingly. Being responsible for calculating land lease distribution.
🎯 PROFILE
- Education background: bachelor’s or master’s degree in forestry, Land Surveying, Environmental Engineering, Law or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in land management applied to renewable energy projects.
- An existing network in northern Italy.
- Strong negotiation skills with different stakeholders specifically in the agricultural field.
- Experience of handling legal contracts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexible and ambitious attitude.
- Detail orientated. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Some knowledge about GIS tool applied to renewable energy projects
- Fluent in Italian and English
- The candidate has to be open to also support the development team at some point.
